How many percent of info have you contributed to your site as a team member and what are the difficulties encountered?
I think that I have contribute about 50% to my site as a team member and the difficulties that being encountered are no verbal talk in the class, can’t decide which platform to choose, what information we need to include in the website, which five featured communities to choose, how to add administrator in the website we chose and how to edit the html so that the command that being added to the website will be a successful.
The problem on the no verbal talk in the class is very difficult for us to talk with my other team mates. Because using MSN, IRC, ICQ, YAHOO, IMVU, FORUM, TAGBOARD or etc as the internet connection for the day is a bit down as this morning rains and we all know that internet and vpn connection at school. In RP there’s a lot of student includes year 3 and we also know that year 1 intake for this year is quite a large badge. And with a lot of people using the internet connection and MSN can be very slow or down.
As for the platform, at first we really can’t come up with a platform. We thought of using Zoho wiki but we found that the website is a bit blunt, google and yahoo wasn’t so suitable because we found that the those two websites are search engines or a website that allows people to chat, play games and etc which yahoo website. We didn’t use blogger and Live journal because we found that using live journal and blogger are common plus we did use blogger before and we found out that if we didn’t use the correct codes or we use the wrong codes, the outcome or the results on the blogger are different from what we want it to be.
We also encounter the problem on what sort of information that we need to include in the website. I think that you also notice that when my group added you in our msn chat conversation, when you ask us what is the pros and cons that we have and we didn’t answer you because we weren’t so sure on which pros and cons you mean. When we trying to decide which features to do, we consider each of them and see which information that we found is compact and very tedious moreover other group are doing on blogger and if my group do about blogging also it will be kind of boring that’s why we conclude that we use open community source.
