In your respective fields that you want to pursue, how can an understanding of human motivation help us to be more effective as you develop your own creative expression?
The respective fields that I want to pursue are film production or anything that relates to camera would interest me. It’s because thru filming, you get to engage with the interviewee that you want to be interview and filming allows us to experience the environment of the place. An understanding of human motivation helps me to be more effective as I develop my own creative expression because human acts within their inner self and thru human nature; we can bring out the messages or emotions to the humans and for humans to feel the human nature from the ads, arts or filming. When you create an advertisement, you need to include the elements of human nature that suits your ads as it helps us, the advertiser or the company to spread the message of the advertisement to the audience.
Example, current news on the Virginia Tech University where a South Korean guy killed 33 people including himself because he himself have lost the faith of trust and totally shuts himself from the world or people surrounding him.
From his act, he creates an impact on me that helps me to develop my own creative expression to send the messages of him and why he wants to kills the people to the audience thru advertisement. Because when you saw a person holding a gun did it cross your mind that the person wants to kill you? No, it would just came across your mind that the person wants to rob you or threaten you with the gun but in your heart you know that gun is a dangerous weapon and it could kill you with a pull of the trigger. With the expression of the person, it helps to brings out the ads much more clearly to the audience as it comes from the human itself plus its natural expression that being shown by the model but not a created expression by the model to tries its best to create the expression in the ads.
Another example would be the story you have share with us on tsunami based on your experience, you said that when you first lands on Indonesia airport you saw airplane and helicopter landing on the airport or flying in to the airport to help the people in need of aid, you can see the beauty of human nature in it. Why do the people around the worlds came to Indonesia to help the people, it’s because they felt the sadness and pithiness on the innocent people who suffers the natural disaster and its human nature that makes humans help the people who suffered the natural disaster.
